Reader’s Reviews
A historical account of Ibn Sina’s life and accomplishments told in the first person. The illustrations in this book are beautiful and the best part of the book. The first person narration, however, may not appeal to children, especially younger ones. While children are unlikely to pick up this book repeatedly to read on their own, teachers and parents may find it useful as a simple way to introduce Muslim scientists to younger audiences.
To look out for
- Islamic Values: The account of Ibn Sina and his achievements is told from a secular perspective, and no mention is made of God or Ibn Sina’s religious motivations
