Books are Wonderful!
Books, especially fiction, are a wonderful and crucial part to the growth of every child. And so are Islamic values! At playPURE, we want to help you and your family grow a wholesome and tayyib relationship with the items you consume. Our reviews are completed with an Islamic worldview in mind. islamic values
We look to see if the characters (protagonists) act according to Islamic values. Examples: Does God play a role in their lives? Do they try to act ethically? Or, do they take lying lightly? Are the protagonists ethical and valuable role-models? Or are they extremely rude and disrespectful etc. ?
popularity
How popular is the book with its targeted audience? Does the targeted audience enjoy the group? Is the book popular?
CLEAN (romance)
Is there any explicit romance between characters outside the confinements of what is Islamically permissible? (i.e. in non-married couples) Are there instances of crushes and no lowering of the gaze?
clean (violence & gore)
Is the violence and gore mentioned in the story useful and within the context of good and evil? Or, is it useless and used in a light context?
clean (profanity)
Is there any explicit profanities used? Are the characters extremely rude and using rude language (even if not profanities)?
