This is a less well-known book by the popular author Eric Carle (author of The Very Hungry Caterpillar). The language and pictures are catchy and will appeal to very young children, and parents will appreciate the old-fashioned descriptions of how ingredients such as flour were made in the past, and the understanding that the food we eat comes from the combined efforts of many.
