Reader’s Review

Twins Roda and Bushra look similar but have very different hair. Roda wishes for Bushra’s hair and Bushra for Roda’s hair. So they decide to switch hairstyles and trick everyone – and realize that it’s not easy acting like someone else. This is somewhat predictable storyline that may appeal to young kids, although the illustrations are not as nice as some of the other books by the same author.

To look out for

Islamic Values: While there is one line where the parents encourage the girls to be happy with the way God created them, and the mother wears hijab outside the home, there is nothing explicitly Islamic about the book. Also at the end of the book the girls occasionally continue to trick friends and teachers by switching places, but with their parents’ permission.
