A beautiful atlas with a wealth of information. Each page expands on one natural occurrence, an animal species, a manmade phenomenon or a historical and cultural event , and identifies where in the world it can be found. This is a book that you can read again and again, and still find new information – however some of the material may be dry for children and they may need encouragement from parents or teachers to read through parts of the atlas.
To look out for
- Islamic Values: One page identifies locations around the world where ancient human remains were found, and mentions the concept of evolution. In the section on festivals, rock concerts are mentioned.
- Violence: Some pages mention wars, deaths, and intentional mummification.
