Reader’s Review
The fourth, and sadly final, volume in the Heartwood Hotel series. Like earlier installments, this one is full of heart as well as adventure, as Mona the mouse tries to save her friends, her beloved hotel, and explores the possibility of finding her family. Her courage and care for others are central to the story. A lovely book to read with younger children.
To look out for
- Islamic Values: Mona doesn’t listen to authority on a number of occasions when she feels that they are not letting her do the right thing.
- Violence: A forest fire burns down many trees and buildings, and injures animals.
