Reader’s Review
Children will enjoy this story of a greedy and grumpy man who hates Eid because it means sharing. But a bad dream and subsequent encounters with the less fortunate make him a changed man. Parents may find the book somewhat cliche, but the illustrations and sweet ending make it worth reading.
To look out for
- Violence: Amir refuses to help a poor lady with a sick child, and a young boy begging on the street.
