Reader’s Review

Readers will enjoy the unique style of the author which combines historical fiction, short pieces of writing and pictures. This is not quite a graphic novel, though it looks a bit like one. The internal dilemma faced by the main character as well as the tense storyline (secretly plotting to kill Hitler) will keep older readers engaged until the end.

To look out for

  • Islamic Values: The spy is a priest, and makes numerous references to Christianity and the Bible. He struggles with reconciling his religious beliefs in non-violence and nationalism, with wanting to fight what he sees as oppression.
  • Violence: Mentions of bombs executions and killings, but not specific descriptions of the deaths or people suffering. The main character joins a secret team that tries to kill Hitler. He fails and is imprisoned.
