Precious is back for a third mystery! There’s plenty of intrigue, adventure, humour and kindness packed in this short novel that will appeal to younger children who are just beginning to read novels, and perhaps older ones who are fans of the Precious the detective. Animal lovers will appreciate descriptions of meerkats, and the accounts of the Botswana countryside are an added bonus, as it’s rare to find children’s books that are located outside of the Western hemisphere.
To look out for
- Violence: There are a couple of scary accounts of an ostrich almost kicking Precious’ father, and a cobra almost attacking Teb’s grandfather.
