The sequel to Amal Unbound – this time her friend Omar is overjoyed to get a scholarship to an elite boarding school, until he realizes that as a scholarship boy he must do chores and is forbidden from joining any extracurricular activities. Eventually he enlists the help of his classmates who stand up together for justice. A fun and easy read on a serious topic, worthy of discussion.

- Islamic Values: Overall this is a great book even for younger kids with no language issues or violence. The only area of concern is that Amal and Omar are very close friends despite not being related. Amal hugs Omar to congratulate him.
