Reader’s Review
A wonderful book for preteens, teens (and adults!), that will quickly become a favorite. The story is told from the perspective of a brilliant girl who cannot communicate until she gets access to a special computer. At first classmates and teachers don’t believe that Melody is indeed intelligent, but slowly she proves herself. There is so much to learn and discuss in this book – the only caution being that the story is very sad, especially when she realizes that she will never be treated equally.
To look out for
- Language: Students in school call Melody and her classmates ‘retarded’
Purchase on: Book Depository
