The fourth and final book in the Giver series ties together many loose ends. The novel tells the story of Gabriel’s mother – the baby from book 1 – and her search for her lost son. It also includes the eventual defeat of good over evil.
To look out for
- Violence: Trademaster is a personification of evil. He almost causes Gabe’s death, and engages in other forms of violence including cutting of someone’s feet.
- Romance: Gabe’s mother is assigned as a birth mother but is rejected by society when she gives birth by c-section
