Readers Review | A small mouse seeking wonderous adventures comes closer to God. She finds her brother annoying but then sees that he is more loving than her. In another part the protagonist sees her father saying thanks to God and reflects: “A branch was such a small thing. And now it was a ground thing, too. A small dead branch, forever on the ground. And Papa thought it worthy of thanks.” The book depicts good values and is part of a series both children and preteens can enjoy and it contains characters they can and relate with as God conscious individuals. The vocabulary is rich and can be better suited for 9-12 years but read aloud to those that are younger. |
