Reader’s Review

An informative text that explains Muslim contributions to the modern world in many areas including art, architecture, farming, medicine and different sciences. The information and pictures will interest readers of all ages, but the large amount of writing may prevent younger readers or even preteens from reading the book on their own.

To look out for

  • Islamic Values: One page is about the contribution of Muslims in music. There is a good introduction to the history of Islam in the beginning, but in general the information is presented in a secular manner, and no mention is made about the religious motivations of the artists or scientists.
