Reader’s Review
A beautiful, touching and educational read. The book is short and the words are few, but the message is inspirational for all ages. Based on a true story of a librarian from the war-torn city of Basra and her love for books. Highly recommended
To look out for
There is little of concern here, but it is worth discussing with the children why there was a war in Basra and who the soldiers are. The descriptions of bombs and soldiers with guns may be disturbing for very young children.
