Readers Review: Illness and death is dealt with in a very compassionate way, with a lot of emphasis on the feelings of the children. However, parents may find it concerning that the relationship between Benny and Isa (the twin sister) becomes increasingly important in the plot, with a lot of time dedicated to the misunderstandings between the two. May not be appropriate for younger audiences.  

Look out for

  • Romance: The relationship between Benny and Isa (the twin sister) is discussed in detail, and one of the major issues that arises is a misunderstanding where Isa believes Benny is taking another girl to the dance and is surprised to realize that she minds a lot. Her growing feelings for Benny are described as well as her realization that she does not want to go to the school dance with anyone else.
